Meet Dr. Krista
I’m Dr. Krista Ortiz, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and fellowship-trained specialist in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Osteopractic care. I founded Austin Osteopractic & Wellness to provide the kind of care I wish more people had access to—personalized, hands-on treatment that looks at the whole person.
Traditional healthcare often waits until problems become severe. My approach is different: I focus on prevention, early intervention, and ongoing wellness—helping you care for your body like you would your car, with regular maintenance to keep it performing at its best.
Advanced Training & Expertise
I combine science-based medicine with holistic approaches to create a comprehensive path to healing.
My professional training includes:
-Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT), American Academy of Manipulative Therapy
-Diploma in Osteopractic with certifications in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, and Vestibular/Concussion Therapy
-Functional Medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (AFMCP – Applying Functional Medicine to Clinical Practice)
-Craniosacral Therapy I & II, Upledger Institute
-Certified Reiki Practitioner
-Certified Life Coach
This diverse background allows me to integrate advanced manual therapy, functional medicine, energy healing, and mindset coaching—creating treatment plans that support lasting change and whole-body wellness.
Whole-Person Healing
True healing goes beyond the physical body. The way you move, the food you eat, your energy, and your mindset all influence how you feel. My goal is to find the root cause of your concerns, support your overall health, and empower you with the tools to live a stronger, more balanced life.
Beyond the Clinic
I enjoy playing competitive poker, I am a travel enthusiast and love spending time with my two dogs, Apollo and Ace.
Above all, I value connection—I want every client to feel seen, heard, and supported from day one. Because health truly is our greatest wealth.
A Dog-Friendly Clinic
Please note that a friendly dog is occasionally present in the clinic. If you have pet allergies or prefer a pet-free environment, this setting may not be ideal. By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of a dog being present during your visit.
